Bartleby Composes

How much for the kitty in the window?

He is grey and kind of fat

but if you take him

and love him

and feed him

I'll get my window back

I long for the sill

cruel fate has kept us apart

damn my fat brother

My therapist says

"Dogs are not the enemy"

He says I

"need to acclimate"

"need to aclimatize myself"

"not attack them"

So now we have a dog

I watch him

Haiku (Two) By Bartleby

My day was ruined

when a dachshund came ravening

for my kitty soul

Books here, books there, books

everywhere-I simply can't

choose where I should nap

I am disappointed:

To Kill a Mockingbird is

a horrid guide book

Such talent, such poise

paparazzi cameras flash

while my fans pet me

Haiku By Bartleby

A sheet of paper

So noisy under my paw

Crinkle, Crinkle, Scratch

My brother is gray

The couch is also gray too

Life is cruel, damn couch

The plastic treat box

So hard to open with teeth

I could sure use thumbs

I love to do sums

Clickety-clack, Clickety

Furry manager
